Expert Review

The 12th HG kit in the "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" lineup has arrived — it's Char's Zaku (GQ). HG Zaku (GQ)with the molded colors changed to Char's color scheme. There's no new tooling whatsoever — it's a straight-up color variant kit.

So all the contents and features are identical to the original HG Zaku (GQ), and it still shows that same frustrating articulation and stiff joint strength. On top of that, the molded color feels subtly cheaper compared to other Char's custom colorways — instead of a deep, rich matte pink, it's a semi-gloss light pink that looks like something you'd find on a candy toy. It's what you'd call a classic "mystery meat" pink, so reactions to the color are probably going to be mixed.

It's pretty much the obvious color variant you'd expect, but it is a Char's Zaku with a fairly unique design. If the sculpt and color scheme are your thing, I think it's definitely worth going for. :-)
